Winter Sangria

Updated: Apr 13, 2019

I came up with this on the fly. I got inspired by some tasty apple cider I had at my company's Thanksgiving Potluck. From there I roamed the aisles of my local liquor store and said "eh, this will work". It turned it out so well. My family and I took this stuff down! So I am calling this my Winter Sangria.

Yield: 1 Gallon

Ingredients

  • 1/3 of a 750 ml Bourbon (Old Forester Kentucky Bourbon)

  • 750 ml Sweet Red Wine (Shutter Home Red Moscato)

  • 1/2 Gallon Apple Cider (Red Jacket Spiced Apple Cider)

  • 3 ounces of Rum (Bacardi)

  • 24 ounces of Ginger Ale (Canada Dry)

  • 1 Orange

  • 2 Apples (Granny Smith and Fiji)

  • 2 Cups of Fresh Cranberries

Directions

1. Slice your oranges and apples. Place them in a flat container with the 3 ounces of rum. Set aside for 3-4 hours.

2. Mix the entire bottle of wine and half of the Bourbon.

3. When ready to serve add the sliced fruit, cranberries, and ginger ale. Stir and serve.

Happy Planning :),
